Bob Page,
Chaplain, Brigadier General, USAF (Retired)
ABOUT
BOB PAGE
When Hurricane Harvey devastated the Houston area in 2017, River Pointe Church asked Bob Page, a newly retired Air Force Brigadier General, to lead their county-wide efforts to disburse a million dollar relief fund to help their neighbors recover from the historic flood. Three months later, he became the church’s Missions and Care Pastor, mobilizing its 8,000 members to love people locally and globally and help them follow Jesus. He brings to this role, more than three decades of service in the Air Force, first, as a navigator on a KC-135A tanker refueling other aircraft inflight. He also served 26 years as a chaplain, including six years in Pentagon assignments and months of wartime deployment leading chaplain teams in Saudi Arabia and Iraq. Bob’s civilian ministry includes pastorates in Arkansas and North Carolina. He was inducted into the Louisiana State University Alumni Hall of Distinction in 2014 and LSU’s Hall of Honor for Distinguished Military Leadership in 2015. He and Ruth have two married daughters and five grandchildren who amaze them daily.
